Monica Shah, MD, FACC
Chief Medical Officer, Nuevocor

Dr. Shah is a board-certified heart failure and transplant cardiologist with more than two decades of experience in cardiovascular medicine, clinical research, gene therapy, and drug development. As Chief Medical Officer of Nuevocor, she leads the global clinical development of NVC-001. Prior to joining Nuevocor, Dr. Shah served as Chief Medical Officer at CTI Clinical Trial & Consulting, Senior Vice President and Global Program Head for AAV Gene Therapy at Rocket Pharmaceuticals, and Global Head of Cell and Gene Therapy at IQVIA. Earlier in her career, she spent nearly a decade at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute at the National Institutes of Health, where she served as Deputy Chief of the Heart Failure and Arrhythmias Branch. She has held academic faculty appointments at several leading medical institutions. Dr. Shah currently serves as President of the Greater Washington Region Board of Directors of the American Heart Association.

John Giudicessi, MD, PhD
Cardiologist and Physician-Scientist, Mayo Clinic

Dr. Giudicessi is a cardiologist and physician-scientist at Mayo Clinic whose clinical practice and research focus on inherited cardiovascular diseases, including LMNA cardiomyopathy. His research has advanced the understanding of how LMNA genetic variants influence disease progression, arrhythmia risk, and clinical outcomes. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications spanning cardiovascular genetics, precision medicine, and inherited arrhythmia syndromes, and is actively involved in developing innovative approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of genetic heart disease. Dr. Giudicessi completed his medical, doctoral, and cardiology training at Mayo Clinic, where he continues to care for patients and lead translational research.
